B's Art Docent

Yesterday, I presented the first Art Docent lesson for B's 5th grade class. The theme was "Artists Paint Cities". We had the class paint their own city. We penciled in the city, went over it with a black sharpie, then filled it in with color using watercolor washes. It was a fun lesson, and a little messy. I'm glad that I can come into his classroom once a month. Of course, I sneaked him a few starbursts. When I was leaving, he came over to me and gave me a couple of hugs. SO worth it!!!
