Primary Talent Show

B playing a song. Notice the lack of shoes? The kids like to slide across the floor in the Cultural Hall.
J's display of some of his art. He really likes to draw and he's quite good at it. He also brought some Lego creations.

Here's B's Lego display. He made a huge shopping mall with a parking lot and cars. In front, he made replica's of the GameBoy and the GameBoy DS.
It was really fun to see many of the talents today. We had two big display tables full of art, writing, cross-stitch, Legos, and quilts. There were a handful of performers, too. We heard piano songs, jokes, guitar, and some singing. We even saw some great soccer tricks and some tap dancing! The kids each got to decorate a brown lunch sack with markers and stickers. Then, they got to fill it with fresh popcorn from the popcorn cart! They sat on blankets and watched the show. It was really fun. At the end, our Primary President talked about the Parable of the Talents, and how we need to develop and share our talents or we may lose them. We've each been given these gifts to bless us and others. The kids were each given a little bag with chocolate coins to represent their talents. It was a great activity today.

What a fun Primary activity. We've done that with the ward, but I think it would be great to get the kids more involved in sharing their talents. Your boys start school on the 11th? How time flies! We start up on the 18th and I'm not sure if Daniel is ready or not. He's been enjoying all the free time he's had during the break.
