Happy New Year

It's kind of hard to tell perspective in this photo, but this is our Wii projected onto our living room wall, and it is about 10 to 12 feet wide. Talk about the Wii "experience"!

B & Dad enjoying a Wii moment

Just gettin' started

Yum! Do you want a cookie to go with those sprinkles??

B was so happy to FINALLY make and EAT sugar cookies

Do I really get to do this?? Past bedtime, too??!

I cannot believe that another year has come and gone. Unbelievable. Although we have some "grouchy Guses" this morning, last night was really fun. We rang in the new year at home, just the 6 of us. Still have a few 'cooties' floating around ... Anyway, after dinner Dad hooked up the Wii to run through our projector so that it was HUGE on our living room wall. We played several rounds of bowling, baseball, & tennis. J is sure a force to be reckoned with when it comes to bowling -- and he makes it look so easy! B helped Mom roll out some sugar cookie dough while the others were finishing a round of baseball. B has been hounding me for WEEKS, probably MONTHS to make sugar cookies. I know these are his favorite, but they sure can be a lot of work. I cheated by using the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix -- Easy!! Then, everyone came in and frosted their own cookies. It was kind of strange to be doing this at 10PM?? Then, we settled in for a movie. We watched the "Bad News Bears" (with our Clear-Play, of course) and remarked how much movies have changed in the past 30 years. What was cutting-edge comedy etc. back in the day didn't really connect with us (especially our boys) now. It was mildily entertaining though. Then we had about 10 minutes until Midnight. We gathered around the TV to watch the NY Times Square ball drop. We could not believe how many commercials there were right up until THE moment! Annoying. Right after the count down, we put the boys to bed. I was surprised that T was still awake. He did sleep in past 7 this morning, but woke up right before 8. Darn!

Sugar cookies are my favorite too! We've been loving our Wii and Daniel has really gotten the knack of bowling down along with a few other things. He's taught Eric how to use the remote, but I think it wore him out. Happy New Year to you too.
